How Kits works

How Kits works: find a service or post a job, compare portfolios, prices and reviews, and talk to the freelancer directly in the built-in chat.

  1. Find or postSearch services by category, or describe your project and receive applications.
  2. AgreeDiscuss the details in chat: scope, deadline and price.
  3. Deliver and reviewWhen the work is done, leave a review that helps others choose.

Kits is a freelance marketplace where clients find specialists for projects in IT, design, digital marketing and animation, and freelancers find new orders. The site works in four languages (English, Georgian, Russian and Armenian) and is open to clients and freelancers from any country.

For clients

  • Find a service in the catalogue or through search, or open the category you need.
  • Compare portfolios, prices and reviews.
  • Message the freelancer in the built-in chat and agree on the task, the deadline and the price.
  • Or post a job and let specialists send you their applications.

For freelancers

Create a profile, publish your services with a portfolio and a clear price, and respond to clients' jobs. Kits suits beginners looking for their first projects as well as experienced specialists and studios. A step-by-step guide is on the "Become a freelancer" page.

Categories

Popular categories include website and mobile app development, logo and brand design, UI/UX, SMM and SEO, video editing and 2D/3D animation, copywriting and translation, business consulting, music and audio.

Listings

The first listing on each account is free. Additional listings and boosts, which raise a listing higher in the results, are paid; the current prices are shown before you publish. A listing stays active for 30 days; after that you can renew it from your profile for the price of a listing. An expired listing is hidden and is deleted if it is not renewed within 3 days.

Frequently asked questions

Help center
Do I need to register?

Services, jobs and profiles can be viewed without registering. A free account is needed to use the chat and to post services or jobs.

How do I contact a freelancer?

Open the service or the freelancer's profile and press the message button. The conversation opens in the built-in chat. For jobs, the chat opens once the client accepts the application.

Which languages does the site support?

The whole interface is available in English, Georgian, Russian and Armenian; the language is switched in the site header.

Can I use Kits from any country?

Yes. Kits is not tied to one country: the work is done remotely, and clients and freelancers can register from anywhere.

How does the rating work?

Reviews come from finished work. When a project agreed in the chat is marked completed by the client, a rating card appears in that chat; the client gives 1 to 5 stars and can add a comment. A listing's rating is the average of all its reviews. Each person leaves one review per listing; rating it again replaces the earlier one.

How do freelancer statuses work?

There are four statuses: New seller, Experienced, Top rated seller and Top rated seller+. They rise automatically with the reviews on all your services: Experienced from 3 reviews with an average of 4.0 or higher, Top rated seller from 10 reviews and 4.5, Top rated seller+ from 25 reviews and 4.8. The status only goes up automatically, and you get a notification when it does.

Can I get a status without reviews on Kits?

Yes. Write to the administration through the Help center or the support chat and show that you do good work: a portfolio, completed projects, reviews from other platforms. The team checks it and can assign the status by hand. Or simply work on the site: every good review moves you forward.

Which listings are shown higher?

Each page of results opens with up to two boosted listings, clearly labelled "Sponsored". The rest follow the sort you choose; by default, listings with more reviews rank higher, then those with a higher rating, then the more complete ones (photos, description, scope and a stated price), then newer ones. Every page also keeps one spot for a new seller, so newcomers without reviews still get seen.

How many listings can I publish for free?

Your first listing is free. Promotions such as "the first sign-ups get free listings" add bonus listings on top of that first free one. Further listings are paid, and you always see the price before publishing. A listing stays live for 30 days and can be renewed from your profile.

What is a project on Kits?

A project is the record of what a client and a freelancer agreed: the scope, price and due date, every change to them, the work handed in, revision requests and completion. Either side proposes it from the chat and the other accepts. Hiring a job applicant creates one automatically. Kits does not handle the payment; the price in a project is a record of your agreement.

Do job posts earn a status too?

Yes. When a project from your job is completed, the freelancer can rate you, and those reviews raise your status with their own thresholds: Experienced from 2 reviews with an average of 4.0 or higher, Top rated seller from 6 reviews and 4.5, Top rated seller+ from 15 reviews and 4.8. Chatting with applicants alone never gives a status. If your services earn a higher status, that one is shown.

Is a deal on Kits a legal contract?

No. For now a deal on Kits has no legal force. It is a reminder and a record: it describes what the client and the freelancer agreed (scope, price, due date), keeps the history of changes and has its own code, so both sides can refer to it. Kits is not a party to the deal and does not handle payments.
